14个人权组织表态支持美国因特网

包括记者无国界在内的14个人权组织在7月10日发布联合声明，表示支持世界网络自由法案，这个法案目前正在美国国会讨论中。据称，这项法案将禁止网络公司帮助极权国家（特别是中国）压制自由言论。
博闻社报道，在给国会负责人权事务的议员的联合签署的信件中，这14个组织表示支持国会通过代号为HR 4780的法案。
信中表示，因特网正使得人们可以接触到以前无法接触到的外界信息，但一些非民主国家却抵制这个趋势，并笼络联合网络公司压制网络言论自由。信中特别提到师涛因为yahoo提供信息给政府被判10年徒刑，而微软受中国指使关闭个人的博客，Google限制中国用户搜索的内容。
