\u4ed6\u662f\u5386\u53f2\u4e0a\u552f\u4e00\u4e00\u4e2a\u6ca1\u6709\u770b\u5230\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u8bfa\u8d1d\u5c14\u5956\u7684\u8bfa\u8d1d\u5c14\u548c\u5e73\u5956\u83b7\u5f97\u8005\u3002<\/p>\n

\u6240\u4ee5\u5728\u4ed6\u5e74\u8f7b\u7684\u65f6\u5019\uff0c\u4ed6\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u50cf\u5c3c\u91c7\u4e00\u6837\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u81ea\u7531\u8868\u8fbe\u7684\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2a\u81ea\u7531\uff08\u7684\u7075\u9b42\uff09\uff0c\u4e00\u4e2afree spirit\u3002<\/p>\n

\u516b\u4e5d\u4ee5\u540e\uff0c\u4ed6\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u4e2a\u5c60\u6740\u7684\u5e78\u5b58\u8005\uff0c\u4ed6\u6162\u6162\u5c31\u8d70\u4e0a\u4e86\u66fc\u5fb7\u62c9\uff0c\u548c\u7518\u5730\u8fd9\u6837\u7684\u9053\u8def\u3002<\/p>\n

\u5f88\u591a\u4eba\u8bf4\u4f60\u4eec\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u600e\u4e48\u6837\u600e\u4e48\u6837\uff0c\uff08\u5176\u5b9e\uff09\u6211\u4eec\u6709\u81ea\u5df1\u7684\u7518\u5730\uff0c\u4f46\u662f\u4ed6\u4e0d\u4e3a\u4eba\u77e5\u3002<\/p>\n

\u53e6\u5916\u4e00\u4e2a\uff0c\u5c31\u662f2019\u5e74\u6211\u4eec\u5728\u5e03\u62c9\u683c\u7ed9\u4ed6\u7acb\u4e86\u4e00\u4e2a\u5934\u50cf\uff0c\u90a3\u4e5f\u662f\u4e00\u4e2a\u6c38\u4e45\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u3002<\/p>\n

\u8c22\u8c22\u5927\u5bb6\uff0c\u4eca\u5929\u6211\u4eec\u5171\u540c\u89c1\u8bc1\u8fd9\u4e2a\u91cd\u8981\u7684\u65f6\u523b\u3002<\/p>\n

Liu Xiaobo specifically flew back to Tiananmen Square to participate in the (Tiananmen Square protests) of 1989.<\/p>\n

In fact, Liu Xiaobo was an intellectual, and he had a very gentle side to his personality, which can be seen in his writings.<\/p>\n

When he was transiting in Tokyo, the April 26 426 editorial had just been published.<\/p>\n

He knew then that it might be a perilous endeavor to go back to China at this peculiar juncture. k.<\/p>\n

But when the flight announcement said, “This is your last boarding chance,” he nevertheless firmly decided to return.<\/p>\n

He is the only Nobel Peace Prize laureate in history who did not live to see his Nobel Prize.<\/p>\n

Another person who received the award during Nazi Germany died in Nazi prison.<\/p>\n

Just from this incident, we can see the significance of his life and also see the similar situation we are facing now.<\/p>\n

On the one hand, it is the CCP, a regime that resembles the Nazis in its tyranny and power,<\/p>\n

But on the other hand, there are dedicated fighters like Liu Xiaobo.<\/p>\n

After 1989, he went through much reflection and transformed from an intellectual into a social activist.<\/p>\n

The Chinese Communist Party portrayed him as one of the drafters of Charter 08, but he was not.<\/p>\n

However, he truly made Charter 08 a widely known document.<\/p>\n

He brought together people with different opinions and reached a critical consensus.<\/p>\n

In the future democratization of China, we need our charter and laws.<\/p>\n

We must have freedom of expression, but we also need a consensus-building process.<\/p>\n

When Liu Xiaobo was young, he was like Nietzsche, a free spirit, a free soul.<\/p>\n

After 1989, as a massacre survivor, he gradually embarked on a path similar to Mandela and Gandhi.<\/p>\n

Many people say, “How about you, Chinese people?” We have our own Gandhi, but he has yet to be discovered.<\/p>\n

He is unknown to the world, and more unknown to the Chinese people.<\/p>\n

That is why we must commemorate him in this place, his first permanent memorial in New York.<\/p>\n

We also erected a bust sculpture for Liu Xiaobo in Prague in 2019, which is another permanent presence.<\/p>\n
