Mr Hu was then summoned to questioning on Thursday morning.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">He spoke to reporters by telephone from a Beijing police station but said he was unable to give further details about why he was being interrogated.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">He said, however, his wife was away and he was home alone with his young daughter when eight police officers arrived and searched his flat.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">&#8220;When I was detained last time [in 2007], a bunch of people entered my house like last night, and raided and searched the place, but my daughter was only 45 days old then and probably does not remember,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">&#8220;But now she&#8217;s four, she understands a little more, and I&#8217;m worried adult squabbles can affect an innocent child, so I made my daughter go to her room to read books and play with her Barbie dolls,&#8221; he added.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">Mr Hu was jailed in 2008 after police accused him of collaborating with foreign nationals to disrupt the Beijing Olympics.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">The 38 year-old &#8211; who advocated a broad range of civil liberties before he was imprisoned &#8211; was released last year after serving a three and half year sentence for sedition.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">Twitter is banned in China but many internet users use a VPN &#8211; virtual private network &#8211; to breach China&#8217;s notorious firewall which blocks a huge range of banned website deemed sensitive by the authorities.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">Mr Hu posted complaints about the ban on visitation rights granted to fellow activist Mr Guo, who was returned to jail last month.<\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \">It is understood his Twitter posts were spotted by China&#8217;s internet police.<\/span><\/div><\/div><div><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; \"><\/span><\/div><div>&nbsp;<\/div><div><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d;
