DESCRIPTION<\/span><\/p>

A memorial service commemorating the life and work of Liu Xiaobo, the recipient of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize and one of China’s foremost pro-democracy activists and writers, and celebrating Liu Xia, the Beijing-based poet, artist, and activist.<\/span><\/p>

 <\/p>

The service will include messages from House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Chris Smith, as well as readings of Liu Xiaobo and Liu Xia’s works by:<\/span><\/p>
