\n\u4f17\u6240\u5468\u77e5\uff0c\u7531\u4e8e\u4e2d\u56fd\u5f53\u5c40\u9690\u7792\u5bfc\u81f4\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\u75ab\u60c5\u6269\u6563\uff0c2020\u5e74\u5168\u7403\u906d\u53d7\u4e86\u5de8\u5927\u7684\u751f\u547d\u548c\u8d22\u4ea7\u635f\u5931\u3002\u540c\u65f6\uff0c\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u6301\u7eed\u81f4\u529b\u4e8e\u6253\u51fb\u63ed\u9732\u771f\u76f8\u7684\u666e\u901a\u6c11\u4f17\uff0c\u8fd9\u5176\u4e2d\u5305\u62ec\u8bad\u8beb\u7387\u5148\u5411\u5916\u754c\u62ab\u9732\u75ab\u60c5\u5e76\u56e0\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\u800c\u53bb\u4e16\u7684\u201c\u5439\u54e8\u4eba\u201d\u674e\u6587\u4eae\u533b\u751f, \u4ee5\u53ca\u79d8\u5bc6\u7f81\u62bc\u4ee5\u9648\u79cb\u5b9e\u3001\u65b9\u658c\u3001\u674e\u6cfd\u534e\u548c\u5f20\u5c55\u4e3a\u4ee3\u8868\u7684\u516c\u6c11\u8bb0\u8005\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\uff0c\u65b9\u658c\u81f3\u4eca\u4ecd\u751f\u6b7b\u672a\u660e\uff1b\u5f20\u5c55\u4e8e2020\u5e745\u6708\u88ab\u62d8\u7559\uff0c\u5728\u770b\u5b88\u6240\u4e2d\u7edd\u98df\u6297\u8bae\u5df2\u8d85\u8fc76\u4e2a\u6708\uff0c\u906d\u5230\u5f3a\u5236\u704c\u98df\u300124\u5c0f\u65f6\u6346\u7ed1\u7ea6\u675f\u5e26\u7b49\u9177\u5211\u957f\u8fbe\u6570\u6708\u3002\u5f20\u5c55\u7684\u8fa9\u62a4\u5f8b\u5e08\u8bf4\u5979\u975e\u5e38\u7626\u5f31\uff0c\u8eab\u4f53\u5f88\u5dee\u3002<\/p>\n

As we all know, because the Chinese authorities hid crucial information about the COVID-19 outbreak, the world has suffered huge losses of life in 2020. Meanwhile, the Chinese government continues to punish ordinary people of China who reveal the truth. This includes the reprimand of \u201cthe whistle-blower\u201d Dr. Li Wenliang, who was among the first people to disclose the epidemic to the public and subsequently died of COVID-19, and the secret detention of citizen journalists Chen Qiushi, Fang Bin, Li Zehua and Zhang Zhan. Fang Bin has been missing to this day; it is not known whether he is alive or dead. Zhang Zhan has been on a hunger strike for over 6 months after being detained in May; she has been subjected to torture such as force-feeding and being put in restraints 24 hours a day for months. Zhang Zhan\u2019s lawyers say that she is in very poor health.<\/p>\n

2020\u5e7412\u670828\u65e5\uff0c\u5728\u4e3e\u4e16\u77a9\u76ee\u53ca\u5404\u754c\u53cd\u5bf9\u58f0\u4e2d\uff0c\u56e0\u72ec\u7acb\u62a5\u9053\u65e9\u671f\u6b66\u6c49\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\u75ab\u60c5\uff0c\u516c\u6c11\u8bb0\u8005\u5f20\u5c55\u88ab\u4e0a\u6d77\u6d66\u4e1c\u65b0\u533a\u6cd5\u9662\u4ee5\u201c\u5bfb\u8845\u6ecb\u4e8b\u7f6a\u201d\u5224\u5904\u56db\u5e74\u76d1\u7981\u3002\u5979\u662f\u81ea\u65b0\u51a0\u80ba\u708e\u75ab\u60c5\u7206\u53d1\u4ee5\u6765\u9996\u4f4d\u516c\u5f00\u56e0\u8a00\u800c\u83b7\u91cd\u5211\u7684\u4e2d\u56fd\u516c\u6c11\u8bb0\u8005\uff0c\u4e5f\u662f\u4e2d\u5171\u4f01\u56fe\u8fdb\u4e00\u6b65\u963b\u6320\u63ed\u9732\u75ab\u60c5\u771f\u76f8\u7684\u53c8\u4e00\u7a81\u7834\u5e95\u7ebf\u7684\u884c\u52a8\u3002<\/p>\n

On December 28, 2020, amidst worldwide attention and condemnation, citizen journalist Zhang Zhan was sentenced to four years by the Shanghai Pudong New District Court for \u201cpicking quarrels and provoking troubles\u201d over her independent reporting on the early Wuhan Covid-19 pandemic.She is the first Chinese citizen journalist who has been publicly handed a severe sentence for her reporting since the outbreak of the pandemic. This is another attempt by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to further block the disclosure of the truth of the epidemic.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\uff0c\u4f5c\u4e3a\u4e00\u7fa4\u575a\u6301\u6c11\u4e3b\u5baa\u653f\u4ef7\u503c\u7406\u5ff5\u7684\u9752\u5e74\uff0c\u5f3a\u70c8\u8ba4\u4e3a\u516c\u6c11\u72ec\u7acb\u62a5\u9053\u5c5e\u4e8e\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u8a00\u8bba\u81ea\u7531\u5b9e\u8df5\uff0c\u662f\u4efb\u4f55\u516c\u6743\u529b\u548c\u4e2a\u4eba\u90fd\u4e0d\u53ef\u5c06\u5176\u5265\u593a\u7684\u57fa\u672c\u4eba\u6743\u3002\u4ee5\u5f20\u5c55\u7b49\u4e3a\u4ee3\u8868\u7684\u516c\u6c11\u8bb0\u8005\u7fa4\u4f53\uff0c\u6709\u6743\u4e0d\u53d7\u9650\u5236\u7684\u884c\u4f7f\u5baa\u6cd5\u4fdd\u62a4\u4e0b\u7684\u8a00\u8bba\u81ea\u7531\u6743\u5229\u3002\u5bf9\u5f20\u5c55\u7684\u5ba1\u5224\uff0c\u662f\u4e2d\u56fd\u5171\u4ea7\u515a\u53ca\u5176\u9644\u5c5e\u7684\u4e2d\u534e\u4eba\u6c11\u5171\u548c\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u538b\u5236\u8a00\u8bba\u81ea\u7531\uff0c\u4fb5\u5bb3\u516c\u6c11\u57fa\u672c\u4eba\u6743\uff0c\u5e76\u4ee5\u6b64\u4e3a\u501f\u53e3\u5bf9\u516c\u6c11\u8fdb\u884c\u4eba\u8eab\u8feb\u5bb3\u7684\u53c8\u4e00\u4f8b\u8bc1\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u5bf9\u6b64\u8868\u793a\u5f3a\u70c8\u6124\u6168\u4e0e\u8c34\u8d23\u3002<\/p>\n

We are a group of young people who believe in the values of democracy and constitutionalism. We firmly believe that independent reporting is a basic practice of freedom of speech, a basic human right that cannot be deprived of by any public power or individual. Zhang Zhan and others have the right to exercise their freedom of speech under the protection of China\u2019s Constitution without restriction. The trial of Zhang Zhan is another example of suppressing freedom of speech and violating the basic human rights of citizens by the CCP and its affiliated government of the People\u2019s Republic of China, who employ this to persecute citizens. We express our strong indignation and condemnation.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u5f3a\u70c8\u547c\u5401\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u7acb\u5373\u65e0\u6761\u4ef6\u91ca\u653e\u5f20\u5c55\uff0c\u5e76\u5bf9\u76f8\u5173\u6cd5\u5f8b\u9002\u7528\u5c55\u5f00\u8fdd\u5baa\u8c03\u67e5\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u5bf9\u5f20\u5c55\u56e0\u4efb\u610f\u7f81\u62bc\u800c\u9020\u6210\u7684\u8eab\u5fc3\u635f\u5bb3\u8fdb\u884c\u56fd\u5bb6\u8d54\u507f\u3002<\/p>\n

We strongly urge the Chinese government to release Zhang Zhan immediately and unconditionally, to conduct an investigation into the application of relevant laws for unconstitutional purposes, and to provide state compensation for the physical and mental harm suffered by Zhang Zhan during her arbitrary detention.<\/p>\n

\u6211\u4eec\u5f3a\u70c8\u547c\u5401\u5404\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u53ca\u56fd\u9645\u7ec4\u7ec7\u7acb\u5373\u542f\u52a8\u9a6c\u683c\u5c3c\u8328\u57fa\u6cd5\u6848\u6216\u76f8\u5173\u4eba\u6743\u6cd5\u6848\uff0c\u5bf9\u76f8\u5173\u4e2d\u56fd\u4e0a\u6d77\u5f53\u5c40\u516c\u3001\u68c0\u3001\u6cd5\u53ca\u515a\u653f\u7684\u5f20\u5c55\u6848\u6d89\u6848\u4eba\u5458\u8fdb\u884c\u5236\u88c1\u3002<\/p>\n

We strongly urge all governments and international organizations to immediately activate the Magnitsky Act or related human rights bills to impose sanctions on the relevant police, prosecutors, judges, and the CCP and government officials involved in the persecution of Zhang Zhan.<\/p>\n

\u6700\u540e\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u5f3a\u70c8\u547c\u5401\u4e2d\u56fd\u653f\u5e9c\u7acb\u5373\u91ca\u653e\u6240\u6709\u56e0\u8a00\u83b7\u7f6a\u7684\u5728\u5ba1\u53ca\u5f85\u5ba1\u516c\u6c11\uff1b\u5efa\u7acb\u5baa\u6cd5\u5ba1\u67e5\u59d4\u5458\u4f1a\uff0c\u5e9f\u9664\u4fb5\u5bb3\u516c\u6c11\u8a00\u8bba\u81ea\u7531\u7b49\u57fa\u672c\u4eba\u6743\u7684\u6cd5\u5f8b\uff1b\u5207\u5b9e\u843d\u5b9e\u4fdd\u62a4\u4eba\u6743\u7684\u627f\u8bfa\uff0c\u7981\u6b62\u79d8\u5bc6\u7f81\u62bc\u53ca\u9177\u5211\u3002<\/p>\n

Finally, we strongly urge the Chinese government to immediately release all citizens under or awaiting trial who have been convicted because of their speech; to establish a constitutional review committee to abolish laws that violate citizens\u2019 freedom of speech and other basic human rights; and to truly protect human rights and prohibit secret detention and torture.<\/p>\n
