\u7576\u4eca\u4e16\u754c\u4efb\u4f55\u4e00\u7a2e\u884c\u696d\u7684\u8208\u76db\u90fd\u96e2\u4e0d\u958b\u5404\u570b\u8cc7\u672c\u548c\u4eba\u624d\u7684\u76f8\u4e92\u5354\u4f5c\u652f\u6301\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u884c\u696d\u7684\u767c\u5c55\u662f\u5982\u6b64\uff0c\u4e00\u500b\u570b\u5bb6\u4e43\u81f3\u4eba\u985e\u7684\u5171\u540c\u9032\u6b65\u660c\u76db\u66f4\u662f\u5982\u6b64\u3002\u9762\u5c0d\u8086\u8650\u5168\u7403\u7684\u65b0\u578b\u51a0\u72c0\u75c5\u6bd2\uff0c\u4e16\u754c\u5404\u570b\u9664\u4e86\u901a\u529b\u5408\u4f5c\u5171\u540c\u61c9\u5c0d\u5225\u7121\u9078\u64c7\u3002<\/p>\n

Hulu in the Wind<\/p>\n

History is what happened in the past, and things that happen today will become tomorrow’s history. Only a year has passed, and I find that many people around me already have a blurred impression of the Pandemic that shook China and had a profound impact on the world. Over a time, many details of the incident and even the incident itself may be completely forgotten by the people. The mechanisms of human forgetfulness are exceptionally complex and profound but there is no reason to ignore the past. Moreover, the Covid-19 virus is still rampant today and the fight against the Pandemic is still the shared mission of human beings today.<\/p>\n

This diary was written during the most challenging times of the Pandemic in Wuhan. I was living in Wuhan at that time. Some of my friends wanted me to record what happened around me during the Pandemic and publish it online from my perspective, just like Fang Fang’s diary, so that I could leave a reference for future research on this challenging period of history. They found the work meaningful and even worthy, and I felt the responsibility and pressure of their words. Indeed, from the beginning and with a clear purpose, I intended to publish this diary.<\/p>\n

The idea of publishing overseas was also straightforward. Through the internet and printing, I hope to let the world understand Wuhan, especially the actual situation of ordinary people in Wuhan. I also hope to make a small contribution to gain the assistance and support of the international community.<\/p>\n

The prosperity of any sector today cannot be separated from the mutual collaboration and support of capital and talents from different countries. The development of a sector is like this. The expected progress and prosperity of a country or even a human being is even more so. In the face of the ravaging of coronavirus, governments around the world have no choice but to cooperate in dealing with it.<\/p>\n

This diary is a more detailed account of the work and the role played by the community service center as a grassroots organization in the fight against the Pandemic. Although Chinese communities are nominally called residents’ self-governing organizations, they are fundamentally different from Europe and the United States. Chinese communities are government-led grassroots organizations or institutions that work with urban residents but are not part of the<\/p>\n

government establishment. Currently, there are more than 1,000 communities in Wuhan, covering every corner of the city. These communities do not have administrative enforcement powers or legal personalities. Still, they serve as the government’s hands and feet in many areas, and it is not too much to say that they are an extension of the government’s power to the people. The community service centers are essential for the Wuhan government to exercise tight control over the city’s 10 million residents. Wuhan’s model for fighting the Pandemic is a model for other regions and has distinct Chinese characteristics.<\/p>\n
