It is a cloudy day. The wind whistled in my ears as I walked down
\nthe street.
\nSeveral fruit and vegetable stores are busy with group-buying
\nbusiness and do not receive individual patrons. If someone asks, the store
\nowners either ignore or yell: “Not for sale!” Quite domineering.
\nMost of the pharmacies were open. All of them had a table at the
\nentrance. Customers were standing behind the table to tell the pharmacies
\nthe name of the medicine.
\nSome small grocery stores will occasionally open their back doors
\nquietly. Sometimes I hear a sound from a distance. When I look closer,
\nthe door is still closed.
\nI was passing a small store that sells stir-fry foods. I saw a woman
\nkicking the door: “What are you afraid of? Infected people were all
\ncaught.” The owner peeked out of the door. She bent over to reveal a
\nface and whispered:” What do you want?” I spent ten yuan on buying a
\nbag of fried peanuts, but the woman insisted on going into the store to
\nchoose. I feel very depressed and think that it has just begun.
\nHowever, even if the 10 yuan 10-pound packets don’t reach all
\ncitizens, we should always grant them to low-income households. When
\nI inquired, I found out that only five vegetable packages were available
\nfor the whole community until yesterday, which is too little. What’s even
\nstranger is that in the afternoon, I saw that the neighborhood committee
\nwas openly selling these 10 pounds for 10-yuan vegetable packets in the<\/p>\n

neighborhood where I live. I asked if only low-income households could
\nbuy them, and the answer was that anyone could buy them. So, I
\npurchased two white radishes, four carrots, and two tiny cabbages and
\nweighed them. It’s ten pounds, no more and no less.
\nI think it’s a good thing to sell 10-pound vegetable packets to the
\npublic. It should be available to all citizens. Everyone living in Wuhan is
\nnow a disaster victim. These 10 pounds of vegetables are not so cheap,
\nbut the public can afford them. At present, due to the closure of the city,
\nthere are many barriers. It is challenging for farmers to transport
\nvegetables from their fields into the city. The government can deliver the
\nvegetables directly to the residents. If the city wants, it will solve the
\nshortage of vegetables and bring income to farmers. What a great thing
\nto do, to have the best of both worlds. Strictly speaking, farmers are also
\nvictims of the pandemic and have also suffered great losses.
\nToday the community gave out free vegetables to several
\nneighborhoods. Those who came to collect them could get broccoli and
\na handful of red and green peppers (there were also white radishes but
\nonly a dozen in total). The quantity is limited, first come, first served, and
\nwhen it’s gone, it’s gone. It was heartbreaking to see those older men who
\nusually have a calm demeanor picking up the pace to the line to get their
\nvegetables. The residents of this area have a good income. In the past, no
\none wanted these low-quality foods even if they were delivered to their
\ndoor. But anyway, thanks to the kind people who donated these
\nvegetables, they are saving us. Thank you!
\nI have always heard people say that it is not the time to enjoy life in
\nrecent days. It is a victory if we survive. If this is our goal, then nine out
\nof ten times, people will die for sure. I don’t understand how those people
\nthink. Their lack of common sense is the problem.
\nThe community calls on CCP party members to pay a special party
\nmember fee, but it is not mandatory. I heard that one CCP member
\nresident paid \uffe55,000.
\nThis month’s salary has not yet been paid.<\/p>\n

I heard that the government had issued a document to give 3,000
\nyuan of relief to people from other cities stranded in Wuhan. I also heard
\nthat this relief would be paid for by the community service center first. I
\ndon’t know if it’s true, but the policy of 3000 yuan is definitely there to
\ngive those needed people.
\nCigarettes were in short supply, and those priced below $20 a pack
\ncould not see in-store at all. It is said that the tobacco companies are not
\nworking, and the stores are out of stock. Don’t they know that some
\npeople can lose their lives even if they don’t smoke?
