Standing in the bright sunshine, I felt like I was heading towards
\nsummer. Spring and autumn are very short-lived, unlike other places
\nwhere the seasons are balanced. It is not uncommon in Wuhan. It is so
\nhot that you must turn on the air conditioning just after May 1, “The
\nLabor Day.”
\nAll new confirmed and suspected patients were zeroed out.
\nMore and more people are returning to Wuhan for the job.
\nAccording to the new notice, people with health cards and vehicles can
\nleave the city and return to their hometown as long as they do not go
\nbeyond the provincial border. Signs of relaxation are becoming apparent,
\nbut there is no timetable for lifting the embargo. It would be politically
\nrisky to propose a timetable for stopping the lockdown at this time,
\nalthough it would be crucial to restoring public confidence. A reasonable
\ntimetable would provide a basis for people to organize their lives in the
\nfuture, save many struggling people from making ends meet, eliminate
\nunnecessary expenses, and allow businesses to determine production and
\nbusiness plans.
\nAs with the prevention and control of the pandemic, discontinuing
\nthe closure and restoring the city’s normal lives is a test of the
\ngovernment’s ability. If the closure is maintained until May or even longer,
\nas Mr. Zhong Nanshan said, it may seem stable, but the risk may be
\ngreater. It could be negligence of people’s benefits. I am just a man who
\nrandomly over-thinks and is anxious. Many people need to get out and
\nwork to support their families. There are a large number of chronically ill
\npatients waiting for treatment. There are deeply traumatized and need to
\nheal their wounds in a normal society. The elderly, the sick and the
\ndisabled people need to take care of their rapidly declined health. The
\npandemic should not be thought to be under control and don’t think that
\neverything will be fine once the pandemic is over. If regular social order<\/p>\n

is not restored, the people will still be plagued. If you are preparing for a
\ncelebration now, you are either lacking in heart or conscience.
\nAccording to a friend, the control has become stricter and more
\nruthless. For the past two months, police cars have been going around
\nthe town every day, with loudspeakers broadcasting the curfew rule
\nconstantly. People found wandering on the streets are immediately
\narrested and detained for four days. Some older men and women who
\ncould not control their legs and feet were the main target of policemen.
\nThe number of residents who need to go out of the apartment
\ncomplex to see a doctor increases, and the community center needs to
\nmove more and more foods, especially potatoes and eggs. It is more than
\none ton in size each time, but that is only a drop in the bucket for the
\nresidents’ needs. It was exhausting to carry more than 200 grass carp, but
\nhow to distribute them to the more than 2,000 households in the

\nA colleague showed me the news on his cell phone: “5 million
\npeople were infected with the Covid-19 virus in the U.K., and 500,000
\ndied”. I said, “How is this possible?” He said, “It’s true.”
\nIn an online video, I saw, on March 18, the governor of Hokkaido,
\nNaomichi Suzuki, announced the official end of the state of emergency
\nat a press conference. The governor also said that he would work on
\nreducing the risk of infection and resume socio-economic activities
\nthroughout Hokkaido. It is unbelievable that Japan has solved the
\npandemic without doing anything.
\nThe media reported that more than 100 sons and daughters of
\nsenior officers return home to live with their parents. The management
\noffice held an emergency prevention and control meeting. It turns out
\nthat they are all from abroad. People often criticize these people, “Living
\nabroad is their life; cursing foreign countries is their job”. Now they don’t
\neven want to live here. They are all scared of pandemics and come back
\nto their motherland. Do they feel warm or frightened to rejoin the
