The sky is clear today, and the smell of spring has penetrated every
corner. The cherry blossoms in the park must be in full bloom by now.
The cherry blossoms at Wuhan University are the most famous. Last year,
there was an incident at Wuhan university- One of the university’s
security guards beat up a tourist wearing a kimono. What they did
tarnished the beauty of the cherry blossoms.
The peach flowers in the neighborhood are also in full bloom. I
think blossoming peach flowers are more beautiful than cherry blossoms.
Under the peach tree, there are always the youths wandering with
beautiful dreams without life purposes.
The number of confirmed patients remains at four. The community
is still moving and unloading supplies, rice and vegetables, toothpaste,
toothbrushes, detergent, and other items. Some people say that the
community should set up a supply and marketing agency and that the
level of the agency should be set at the sub-division level.
The most popular topic of conversation during leisure time is when
the lock down will be lifted, and anxiety is written all over everyone’s face.
The time window of psychological limit is approaching. Dr. Hongwen
Zhang said that it was impossible to end the pandemic in the summer of
June due to the outbreak in Europe. It’s a good thing we’ve survived the
outbreak; otherwise, we wouldn’t have known how long the city was
going to be shut down. After all, there was no better option than to shut
down. This outbreak is the most accurate test of our medical science and
our ability to prevent and control diseases. A simple primitive
containment was still the primary option for us.
On the Internet, the call for accountability is still strong. In ancient
times, when a disaster of this magnitude occurred, whether a natural or
man-caused disaster, the emperor would issue an imperial edict of guilt,
mostly saying that it was all the emperor’s fault. He wished that heaven

would impose all the punishment on the emperor and heavenly God
would bless all the people to escape from the disaster safely, that is, give
the people a way out, etc. Although most of these were just for show,
they should not be viewed as malicious. At the very least, they were an
expression of good wishes.
The news that a township in Huangpi District used the funeral
home’s vehicle to transport the group’s shopping merchandise was
released on the Internet. It is scary and weird for Chinese people to use a
funeral house’s car to deliver things to the living people. It has a very
strong hidden meaning of curse in Chinese culture. This kind of thing, in
the past, was not a small case. In ancient times, this was called a violation
of human decency. In today’s terms, it is anti-humane.
Historians such as Guo Moruo, Jian Bozan, and Fan Wenlan have
defined traditional Chinese culture as feudal culture, but this is not true.
Regardless of the political system, in terms of culture alone, the core of
Chinese culture is the family. The whole social order is an expansion of
the family structure, which advocates respect for family, father and son,
respect for the old, and love for the young. That is true for the people in
general, and the imperial palace is no exception. Therefore, Chinese
people pay attention to ethics, morality, and human feelings and
traditions, and what Huangpi District did is unacceptable to Chinese
people in any era.
That is the most comprehensive and profound examination of
human nature. Each of us should see ourselves and the society we live in
clearly from this. Society is composed of every one of us, each of us
cannot be alone. We cannot always survive by luck. We need to hold
ourselves accountable and hold ourselves accountable for the disaster’s
deeper social, cultural, and institutional causes.
