Dear XXX,
I just got off the phone with a Beijing House church leader. House church leaders have just met again with President Xi’s National Security Commission and have come up with a request (both sides) for President Xi’s visit to the US around Sept 20. They are asking for the press and US State Department (or any meetings) to bring up religious liberty and human rights issues that doesn’t embarrass the Chinese government but helps move the process forward. The press and US Government should ask President Xi’s delegation in this manner。
This request comes from both sides (house church and President Xi’s national security) and will help move the future religious policy direction of China forward in a positive manner.
Do you have a way to get to someone in the US government and/or the press? President Xi plans to visit Washing DC, New York and Seattle (Sept 22). Do you have any contacts with government or business leaders who will be meeting with the China delegation?
