DESCRIPTION
A memorial service commemorating the life and work of Liu Xiaobo, the recipient of the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize and one of China’s foremost pro-democracy activists and writers, and celebrating Liu Xia, the Beijing-based poet, artist, and activist.
The service will include messages from House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Chris Smith, as well as readings of Liu Xiaobo and Liu Xia’s works by:
Berit Reiss-Andersen, Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee
Juan Mendez, Professor at American University and former UN Special Rapporteur on Torture
Li Xiaorong, independent scholar
Yang Jianli, President of Initiatives for China
Open to the public, seating limited. Doors will open at 9:30AM.

以天主教弥撒仪式，追思2010年诺贝尔和平奖得主、中国民主运动先锋暨作家刘晓波的一生志业，同时声援北京诗人、艺术家与维权人士刘霞。
