HONG KONG’S 1989
 
A bullet has pierced a young woman’s eye
tomorrow another bullet may pierce a young man’s head.
In two days Hong Kong could be blind, the blind Pearl of the East.
Rivers of blood, corpses piled up;
white-haired parents searching, wailing, preparing funerals,
like god in heaven burying stars.
The ones who survive,
some will be criminals in jails in China;
some will be slaves, living dogs’ lives;
some will be orphans, exiles, refugees
swept all over the world
never to return.

一顆槍彈今天打爆一個女孩的眼
另一顆槍彈明天會打爆一個男孩的頭
後天香港會瞎掉,曾經的東方明珠會瞎掉
血流成河,屍橫遍地
頭髮花白的父母在尋找、哀號、為孩子們送葬
就像上帝在天上,為星星們送葬
倖存的香港人
一些是罪犯,在中國內地坐牢
一些是奴隸,人不如狗
還有一些淪為人類的孤兒
離散和流亡,在世界各地
永不還鄉
