Standing in the bright sunshine, I felt like I was heading towards
summer. Spring and autumn are very short-lived, unlike other places
where the seasons are balanced. It is not uncommon in Wuhan. It is so
hot that you must turn on the air conditioning just after May 1, "The
Labor Day."
All new confirmed and suspected patients were zeroed out.
More and more people are returning to Wuhan for the job.
According to the new notice, people with health cards and vehicles can
leave the city and return to their hometown as long as they do not go
beyond the provincial border. Signs of relaxation are becoming apparent,
but there is no timetable for lifting the embargo. It would be politically
risky to propose a timetable for stopping the lockdown at this time,
although it would be crucial to restoring public confidence. A reasonable
timetable would provide a basis for people to organize their lives in the
future, save many struggling people from making ends meet, eliminate
unnecessary expenses, and allow businesses to determine production and
business plans.
As with the prevention and control of the pandemic, discontinuing
the closure and restoring the city's normal lives is a test of the
government's ability. If the closure is maintained until May or even longer,
as Mr. Zhong Nanshan said, it may seem stable, but the risk may be
greater. It could be negligence of people's benefits. I am just a man who
randomly over-thinks and is anxious. Many people need to get out and
work to support their families. There are a large number of chronically ill
patients waiting for treatment. There are deeply traumatized and need to
heal their wounds in a normal society. The elderly, the sick and the
disabled people need to take care of their rapidly declined health. The
pandemic should not be thought to be under control and don't think that
everything will be fine once the pandemic is over. If regular social order

is not restored, the people will still be plagued. If you are preparing for a
celebration now, you are either lacking in heart or conscience.
According to a friend, the control has become stricter and more
ruthless. For the past two months, police cars have been going around
the town every day, with loudspeakers broadcasting the curfew rule
constantly. People found wandering on the streets are immediately
arrested and detained for four days. Some older men and women who
could not control their legs and feet were the main target of policemen.
The number of residents who need to go out of the apartment
complex to see a doctor increases, and the community center needs to
move more and more foods, especially potatoes and eggs. It is more than
one ton in size each time, but that is only a drop in the bucket for the
residents' needs. It was exhausting to carry more than 200 grass carp, but
how to distribute them to the more than 2,000 households in the
community? To whom and to whom not?
A colleague showed me the news on his cell phone: "5 million
people were infected with the Covid-19 virus in the U.K., and 500,000
died". I said, "How is this possible?" He said, "It's true."
In an online video, I saw, on March 18, the governor of Hokkaido,
Naomichi Suzuki, announced the official end of the state of emergency
at a press conference. The governor also said that he would work on
reducing the risk of infection and resume socio-economic activities
throughout Hokkaido. It is unbelievable that Japan has solved the
pandemic without doing anything.
The media reported that more than 100 sons and daughters of
senior officers return home to live with their parents. The management
office held an emergency prevention and control meeting. It turns out
that they are all from abroad. People often criticize these people, "Living
abroad is their life; cursing foreign countries is their job". Now they don't
even want to live here. They are all scared of pandemics and come back
to their motherland. Do they feel warm or frightened to rejoin the
embrace of the motherland?
